Mobile Medical Team Program

From 1988 until present – a total of 28 years - the Company and Bumrungrad Hospital have been arranging doctors to treat patients in Sakon Nakhorn and Mukdahan provinces on an annual basis free of charge under the Mobile Medical Team program. Medicine and necessary life supplies have also been provided to service recipients to help improve their well-being in remote areas.

Clean Drinking Water Program

Through the Clean Drinking Water program, the Company and the Bangkok Insurance Foundation facilitated standardized water filters to schools to promote healthy drinking habits for children and prevent against gastrointestinal tract diseases and accumulated plague. The Company’s goal was to install the filters to 70 schools in the provinces where the Company’s branches were located to ensure adequate monitoring and follow-up within 2016-2017.

Clean Toilet Program

The Company established the policy to help improve sanitary standards of toilets at schools located in remote areas by raising awareness and motivating students and youth to adopt proper toilet usage practices with a focus on development of cleanliness, adequacy, and safety for strong health. As such, the Company set up the Clean Toilet program to build toilet facilities for schools in remote areas. The Company’s goal was to build toilet facilities for a total of 70 schools within 2017.

Support for the Wishing Well Foundation

The Company has been providing support for the Wishing Well Foundation since 2011 in order to extend help and aid for 17 hospitals taking care of children patients with severe cancers. Each year, the volunteer employees from Bangkok Insurance and the Bangkok Insurance Foundation held the outside study trips for children patients to enhance their experience and satisfy their needs.

Blood Donation to the National Blood Center, Thai Red Cross Society

The Company has been encouraging its executives, employees, and the general public to donate bloods to help support the lives of humans on a yearly basis from 1988 until present. In 2017, the Company upon its 70 years of operations arranged the blood donation activities both in Bangkok and other provinces in conjunction with its branches nationwide with the goal of donating the total blood volume of 7 million cc to the Thai Red Cross Society within 2017.

One-stop Rehabilitation Medical Service Unit for People with Disabilities

In 2016, the Company donated Baht 1 million to the Sirindhorn National Medical Rehabilitation Institute (SNMRI) and brought volunteer employees to join hands with Debaratana Vejjanukula Hospital Commemorating Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's 60th Birthday Anniversary in giving devices designed solely for use by persons with disabilities such as wheelchairs, walking assist equipment, joystick-controlled vehicles for drivers with disabilities, ankle supports, and back support machines to a total of 350 recipients to pay a tribute to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the City Hall, Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai province.

Support for the Construction of the Heart Disease Center Building

The Company donated funds totaling Baht 35 million to support the construction of the Heart Disease Center Building for Sakon Nakhon Hospital, Sakon Nakhon Province in order to accommodate patients with heart diseases and facilitate other treatments with a view to improving the well-being of people in the local areas.

Donation of Respirators to Needy Hospitals in Provincial Areas

Realizing that many hospitals in remote areas were lacking important medical devices, especially respirators which were necessary for patients to gain life support during crisis and further their treatment in future so that they could resume their normal breathing; the Company set up the project to donate respirators to needy state-run hospitals in various provinces. This project was considered one of the many projects to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Company’s operations in 2017. Bangkok Insurance would continuously give the respirators to the hospitals nationwide to ensure completion within 2017.
