2 What to do after a car accident

Please immediately call the Company to notify the accident. In case you file a notification as evidence, please also take note of a notification number for use as future reference.
Required information:
- - Car license plate, model and color
- - Policy number
- - Telephone number of the driver
- - Place of accident or nearby landmark
- - Accident description
After notify the accident to the Company via telephone, please wait at the accident spot and follow the suggestions given by the claim officer.
You should not move your vehicle except in the following circumstances:
- - The case is being handled by the police officer.
- - It is evident if you are at fault or not and there is supporting evidence.
- - If the vehicle is moved, please inform the Company.
You should not agree to compensation payment if you are unsure about the accident particulars.
If there are injured persons, please refer them to the nearest hospital and inform the Company.
You may take your car to a contracted garage of the Company or a dealer garage at your convenience.

If you are at fault:

Please do not flee. It is possible that the accident is not caused by you. If you escape from the scene, you may be subject to additional criminal charges.
Please move your car to a safer spot to avoid causing traffic.
If you cannot reach the Company, you may:
- - Make an appointment with the other driver.
- - Prepare a fault admittance document and advise the other driver to contact the Company after you have notified the accident to the Company or to contact his/her insurance company using the fault admittance document.
- - Exchange the “knock-for-knock” claim document. Then, you should contact the claim officer to sign the liability document.
Fault admittance document should contain the following information (the form could be written up):
- - Name-surname of the driver at fault.
- - Contact address and telephone number (please write clearly).
- - Date and spot of incident.
- - License plate numbers of the car at fault and the other car.
- - Statements admitting the faults and details of the damages.
- - The document must be signed and have witness. In case of a name card, a name must be indicated.

If you are not at fault:

If the other driver does not admit that he/she is at fault, please take note of the license plate number of the other driver and call the Company.
You should not move your car until the other drive admits his/her fault and give a written evidence such as a fault admittance document or a knock-for-knock claim document.
If the other driver flees, please file a daily police report and include exhaustive details.
If properties on the car are damaged, make sure that the particulars are included in the police report because you must claim compensation for such damages directly from the other driver.

If there are injured persons:

Regardless whether you are at fault, please make sure that the injured persons are immediately taken to a nearest hospital.
If the injured persons go to a hospital either by themselves or are taken to a hospital by others, please advise the Company of the place of appointment.
Please make sure that the other driver exercises his/her claim entitlement under the compulsory insurance first.
Please always keep the receipt of medical expenses as evidence for reimbursement.

Motor insurance claim payment

Cash payment within the limit of Baht 10,000: Within 20 minutes.
Cheque payment or fund transfer: Within 3 business days.

3.7 Claim for Damage in case of the Other Party

3.8 Claim for loss of use

4 Claim consideration and payment period

After all required documents have been received and considered, the Company will proceed with the claim payment to the insured or the other party as detailed below:

Cash payment worth Baht 10,000 or less: Within 20minutes.
Cheque payment or fund transfer: Within 3 business days.
Total loss: Within 7 business days.
Car loss: Within 15 business days.
